In 1997, Dennis Sego felt led of the Lord to start a ministry that would open church doors to a group of people who wanted to worship the Lord together in a place where they could feel free to praise God and not be concerned with financial standings, planned programs or social status.

A small building out in the country in Byron, Georgia is where the first service was held. The church name was Lakeview Old Country Church with a mission statement “Let’s go back to I remember when”. This statement is from a song written by Robin Sego giving the message going back to a time and place when you could take folks at their words and hearts were changed and not just stirred.

Dennis felt that God wanted a place where people could once again sing the songs they were familiar with and stand up and testify about what God had done for them no matter how little or how big and the people together were the church and not a certain group of leaders and a planned program. The little church in the woods began to grow with a faithful few who enjoyed the worship services and ministering.

It was in 2004, that God made it possible to move the church to a bigger facility at a better location with a fellowship hall and more Sunday School rooms. At first, it was thought impossible that are small fellowship would be able to afford such a nice building in a great location in Macon, Georgia. The Sego family with other church members agreed that if this is God’s will, He will make a way.

Through much prayer and faith, God took what we thought was impossible and made it possible. The church built on the same principals as started above is now New Haven Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. Dennis Sego along with his Dad, Lamar Sego and Associate Ministers Percy Skinner and John Newberry are faithful ministers bringing God’s word to our church each Sunday Morning.

Our belief is based on the Apostolic faith. The Bible says we are built upon the foundation of the apostles and the prophets with Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone. We believe that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself and for as many of us has been baptized into Christ have put on Christ therefore, believing that we are complete in Jesus.

Turn off Eisenhower Parkway by Northern Tool onto Ivey Dr. and the church is located at the end by the Soccer Fields of Macon. Sunday Morning Service begins at 10:30am.
